  • How do I get hold of a printed catalog?

    Simply contact your local office or send an e-mail. Don't forget to include your name and address so that we know where to send it!

    PDF catalogs can be accessed and downloaded from the Catalog Link (on the Homepage), and by selecting the PDF List menu item.

  • How many items are there on the Goodfellow website?

    No-one has ever counted them! However, we estimate that there are in excess of 70,000 when all of the various pack sizes of the different materials and forms are taken into consideration.

  • How can Goodfellow help me if I can't find precisely what I require?

    In addition to our catalog items, Goodfellow can also supply custom-made items. This means that if you have a need for a material, quantity of material, form of material or size of material not listed in the catalog, please contact us as we may be able to assist.

  • Does Goodfellow supply samples of material?

    Goodfellow sells small quantities of materials and so we do not generally provide samples of our materials free of charge. However, if you require a sample of material for a specific reason, please contact your local office as we may be able to assist.

  • What are the benefits of registering on the site?

    It is not necessary to register to use the Goodfellow website to obtain current prices and technical information for our products. However, registering on the site will enable you to make on-line purchases and it will also enable us to keep you up to date of any developments in our range of materials.

  • If I register on the site, will I receive unsolicited e-mails?

    We will use the e-mail addresses of our customers to advise them of items which could be of interest. However, if you do not wish to receive correspondence from us, please let us know by sending an e-mail and we will amend our records accordingly.

  • How secure is the website?

    Any transactions over the site which require security (e.g. registration, payment details, etc.) will be handled in a secure manner using "QuoVadis".

  • How secure is my personal data?

    Full details of our security policies are detailed under the section entitled "Privacy Policy". All personal information is securely stored and will only be used by Goodfellow. Any credit card information which is given to us will be deleted from our records once the transaction has been completed. If an item has to be returned and the card credited, you will be asked to supply details of your card again.

  • How do I change my password?

    Simply go to "My Details" and then "Amend Details" and follow the instructions.

  • What extra shipping costs am I likely to be charged?

    The prices quoted by Goodfellow in the catalog are inclusive of shipping by courier (FedEx, UPS or DHL) and so there are no extra charges for shipping. The exception to this is for those items which are listed on the website as "Special Offers"; the quoted prices for these products are "ex-works" and, therefore, shipping costs will be charged.

  • What discounts does Goodfellow offer?

    Our standard catalog pricing structures take account of increasing quantities and so the unit price decreases as the quantity ordered increases. However, if you require a quantity in excess of the maximum amount listed, please contact Goodfellow as we may be able to offer a more competitive price. It may also be worthwhile looking at the "Special Offers" section of the site, as there are always a number of items which are available at a discounted price.

  • What are Goodfellow's standard payment terms?

    If you have a credit account, our standard terms of payment are net 30 days from the date of invoice. Alternative payment terms must be agreed in writing with Goodfellow at the time of ordering.  Customers may be asked to pay cash with order or cash against pro-forma invoice with their first order. In order to establish a credit account we will require details of your bankers, along with two trade references.

  • How do I order items on the Goodfellow website?

    Ordering on the website is very simple. Simply find the material or item you require from the "Product Search" or "Catalog" sections and then click on the item to add it to your Shopping Basket. You will be advised that the item has been added to your basket. Repeat the process to select further items and then click on the "Shopping Basket" option on the left hand menu to proceed to the "check out". Follow the instructions on each of the screens to complete the process.

  • How current are the prices of the items on the Goodfellow website?

    The site is updated on a regular basis and so the prices shown on the Goodfellow website are up to date.

  • How can I pay for my orders?

    If you or your company has a credit account with Goodfellow, purchases made online on the website will be charged in the usual manner. If you do not have an account with us or would prefer not to use your account, Goodfellow accepts payment via VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Switch and Delta.

  • What does Goodfellow do?

    Goodfellow supplies small quantities of metals, alloys, ceramics and polymers for research, development, prototyping and specialised manufacturing operations.

  • How many materials and forms are offered?

    At the last count, just over 500 different materials and 32 different forms (rod, wire, tube, foil, etc.). However, check out the summary in the Catalog Section for details of all of our standard products.
