High temperature alloy used in Sodium and Magnesium vapour lamp electrodes and for coating the inside of Stainless Steel 316 tubes to improve corrosion resistance. The alloy combines moderate strength with excellent fabrication properties and is used extensively in nuclear applications because it has a low thermal neutron absorption cross section, good corrosion resistance and good resistance to radiation damage.
